Aaron Allston was, according to his website, born in Texas. His love of writing began when he was 11 and has continued. After a short stint at the University of Texas in Austin and a year working for that city's newspaper, Mr. Allston got a job with game and magazine publisher Steve Jackson. He would eventually turn to game design. Through his game connections, he got the opening to write the Sebastian Cord adventure taken from the role-playing game Top Secret/S.I.. For the past few years, he has been primarily a writer of science fiction, having written numerous successful novels in the Star Wars series.
