According to Wikipedia: "Gloria Goddard married the American writer Clement Richardson Wood (who wrote under the pseudonym Alan Dubois), with whom she participated in the creation of some books.

Under the pseudonym Louise Logan, Gloria was the creator of the character Susan Merton, a nurse and spy for the Allies in the Second World War , who she portrayed in several adventure books , which were published during the period of war."

As Louise Logan, she said in an interview: "For five years I was a special nurse and for two years was nurses' superintendent in one of the largest hospitals. I might never have turned to writing my experiences if I had not left my profession to marry one of the country's most famous writers".
