According to the bio on Amazon: "Brian Hoff is an author, screenwriter of drama, comedy, children’s books, adventure, sci-fi, suspense, and coming of age stories. Brian got his start in the film business in 1994 working on the HBO film “White Mile”, which starred Peter Gallagher and Alan Alda. He went on to work for independent film producer Paul Leder, father of Dreamworks director Mimi Leder. Brian continued to work in the industry and began developing his own scripts and film projects. His first animated short film “Automaton” won an award at the California International Animation Festival in 2008. Brian is an actor and a member of SAG AFTRA and ASCAP 

Brian also starred and co-produced an independent film featuring the Oscar Winning actor Ernest Borgnine for a small voice role in the 2010 si-fi indie film “Enemy Mind” shot at the Salton Sea in California. In 2010 Brian appeared in the two-part Emmy winning episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show in which 200 adult men who survived childhood trama and went onto inspire hope in healing. Palm Springs Life magazine editor Steven Biller published an article “Shooting for Strength” about the episode and Brian’s screenplay about his own life. The experience led him into charitable work in Palm Springs volunteering in the community. 

In 2012 Brian was contracted to developed an independent filmmaking program at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City, IA and worked to help the local city created an artist hub. Brian has also been a mentor students at Palm Springs High School interested in animation. He and five students created a club, the PSHS Animation Lab.

Brian is the author and creator of the animated book and animated series “Secret Agent 00K9: The Fast & the Furriest” centered on a silly spy dog agent 00K9 ( pronounced Double Oh K 9) who goes on adventures as a detective solving crimes in an animal-only, but wacky human-like, society. From 2014 to 2016 Brian held book signings and benefits for the Palm Springs Police Department K-9 Unit and attend the annual 5K Run for Ike Event and read his book to elementary school students in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Brian exhibited at the Palm Spring Comic Con event 2016-2019 

Brian recently organized a special book signing and benefit at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter titled “10 Years of Tails” celebrating the animal shelters 10 years and included the Palm Springs Police K-9 Unit to attend December 10, 2022 and introduced my latest Children’s Comedy book series “Keeping Up with the Car Chasers” about a dysfunctional dog family living the Furrywood Hills. The new series focus on the family with outrageous humor along with valuable life lessons that are great for kids and their parents. In 2022 the comedy book series was nominated for a Readers Choice Award by TKC Publishing, American Fiction Award and was a Winner of a 2022 Mom’s Choice Award! The book received a nice review in The Children’s Book Review in 2022. 

Brian is founded the (PSIAF) Palm Springs International Animation Festival in 2017 which featured Oscar winning and contending talent from all over the world. Brian saw the opportunity to bring wonderful and intriguing animated films from all over the world to Palm Springs were there is a including hosting Q & A sessions with filmmakers, animators, and industry executives. Brian has been quoted Variety Magazine and featured in The Hollywood Reporter and others. 

Brian was a co-producer on an indie Christmas movie “Hashtag Blessed” and starred in the film as a doctor in a children’s hospital and his song “Angels on the Christmas Tree” was featured on the soundtrack as the film released in theaters and streamed all over the world December 2022 and was featured in Country Living as one of the top 24 Christmas films of the year. Brian is currently producing music and has a new pop ballad coming out in 2023"
