STEPHEN JARED

According to the bio on his webpage: "As an actor Stephen Jared has appeared in feature films, such as He's Just Not That Into You, and on television in popular shows such as iCarly, 24, and Touched by an Angel. In 2010, his first novel, Jack and the Jungle Lion, received much critical praise, including an Honorable Mention in the 2011 Hollywood Book Festival. Solstice Publishing began releasing his work, starting with Ten-A-Week Steale, hailed as a "fantastic work in the tradition of the old pulp/noir masters". The Elephants of Shanghai continued on from where Jack and the Jungle Lion left off (the origin story is included in the opening pages of the sequel), and went on to take Second Place at the 2013 Hollywood Book Festival. Pulp Fiction Review said of his 2014 novel, The Brutal Illusion, "It is by far his most personal work and thus his best." Crime Fiction Lover said of his 2016 release, Need More Road, "evokes the old black and white movies of yesterday, Jared's book is vivid, alive, and well worth a read." His latest, as of 2018, is the third Jack Hunter adventure, The Chameleon Thief of Cairo. Also, in 2018, Stephen wrote a stage play, Faces Forty Feet Tall, which earned a semi-finalist position in the Garry Marshall Theatre's New Works Festival. Additionally, Stephen is Associate Producer of the currently-filming documentary on legendary movie poster artist Richard Amsel."
