While on the island of Rhodes in Greece, Rex Dalton and Digger witness two people being murdered. They give chase but when they catch the killer, she commits suicide. As Dalton later relates the event to John Brandt back at the hotel, they are assaulted by three intruders with guns. This is just the start of an investigation that will reveal a plan to cause enormous suffering across Europe.
