Zack Force is an agent with DNS.
That acronym stands for the Department of National Security, described to us at the beginning of the first recorded adventure as "a new agency formed to combat the rising tide of domestic terrorism". By new, though, it is important to note that Force has been an operative with the organization for seven years already so the agency is by no means just starting out and Force is far from being a novice at his trade. Heading up the organization is Director Elizabeth Murdock, a woman who is extremely experienced in the field and knows what it is like out there.
One interesting fact that we learn about Force is that his father was a major influence in Force's early years growing up in Alabama and that man's death at the hands of terrorists has given him a fierce dedication to his work and a determination to do all he can to defeat terrorism against his country. A second fact is that Murdock had "worked closely with Zack's father during her early years as an agent, which created a strange dynamic between her and Zack, both professional and personal.
Force is partnered with the impressive Riley Carter, a very capable and determined young woman. They made a good working couple: "Zack and Riley had many similarities: They were both workaholics, both dedicated to their country, both determined to stop at nothing in their pursuit of justice. While Zack relied on analytics, however, Riley tended to take a more human approach, seeking out relationships and building empathy with victims. This difference in their approaches often caused them to clash with one another."
