Blake Wright is a restaurant manager.
She is not a spy. Never has been. Has always wanted to be, though. Ever since she was a little girl. The desire has run deep inside her for many years but she is honest enough with herself to note that in all that time, she has done nothing to work towards that goal except wish. So then the question comes why her adventures make her a part of this compendium. The answer is, sort of by accident.
What this now grown woman does for a living, since we know it is not being a spy, is told to us by her right away. "Even though I was only twenty-seven, I had been working for my parents at their restaurant most of my life. When I was a child, it was fun to go in and hang out, visiting with the workers and eating the yummy food. I wasn't sure how I went from there to running the restaurant majority of the time. My parents were too young to retire, but seemed to put more on my plate every day." Which explains the occupation listed above of restaurant manager.
Wright's 'transition' to that of a kind of secret agent got its start with two things, The first was being asked by her neighbor to look after her two cats while the neighbor was away for a few days, The second was bumping into, literally and accidentally, the "incredibly handsome - no, make that gorgeous - stranger" with the emerald green eyes. That stranger, whose name she would learn was Marcelo Ricci, would become someone very important in the immediate future.
The transition from running an eatery to being an undercover operative is a slow one for Wright; it certainly does not happen in the first adventure coming gradually as it does. And she will only be working on a part-time basis so she never has the chance to or urge to quit her legitimate day job. But over time she will find, ever so slowly, that her wish to be a spy comes true.
