Ryan Rivera is an agent with the MOF.
That acronym is for the Mission Operation Force, apparently a rather obscure branch of the American Intelligence community under the direction of Daniel Choo. This anonymity does not extend to its enemies, however, as we are witness to the violent end of a MOF operative in Beirut when the man he was monitoring captured him, identified him as being with the MOF, and then eliminated him.
The key operative for the MOF is Rivera, a former SEAL who had a history of being seconded to the CIA during his career in the military and who, when deciding it was time step away from the Navy was approached by Choo and offered a new, albeit quite similar career with him.
Rivera, father of a teenage girl name Lynn who is a huge fan of the comic book industry and loves to engage in cosplay, is a "highly trained frogman" who "specialized in hostage rescue, demolition, and sniper". Rivera's time in the military and then later with the MOF has seen him working two tours in Iraq and performing operations in the "Philippines, North Korea, Thailand, China, Afghanistan, and South Africa".
Serving with Rivera in the MOF as part of his team:
Joseph Gonzales, a college dropout, and a graduate from a tech school in LA, majoring in computer science, and music. He had a blackbelt in judo and kickboxing.
Mindy Reyna, a UCLA dropout, majored in business and anthropology. Specialized in disguising, and role-playing in the field. She can speak up to fifteen languages. Ryan can speak up to eight because he was overseas while serving in the military.
Howard Stallion. He was originally from Phoenix, Arizona. A former Army Ranger first regiment battalion, and a former hacker for NSA, CIA, and FBI. Howard does the hacking skills in the field which is his specialty.
Shiori Kiyama. From Tokyo, Japan, a former intelligence officer for the PSIA (Public Service Intelligence Agency). Shiori specialized in infiltration. She is kind of short, like 5'5 in height.
Antonio Fernando, originally from Los Angeles, and a graduate of ITT institute in Massachusetts. Antonio specializes in making gadgets that can be used on the mission.
Working as the principle opponent for Rivera and the MOF is an international criminal syndicate known as OWL, which apparently stands for the Organization of World Leaders, which makes no sense to me.
