Kelly Cameron is an agent with the FBI.
As a Fed, she could be assigned to any type of case anywhere in the country but we watch her specialize in keeping an eye on one particular target, albeit a very large, powerful one, China. She has been put on the trail of agents from that huge nation sent to the States to push their country's agenda at the detriment of America. Considering the activity she and those on her team has uncovered, she definitely has her work cut out for her for that Far East nation has made affecting things in the Western Hemisphere to China's benefit a major priority. The counterterrorism unit she will be attached to, and later largely leading, is designated AT-1.
Cameron has just touched 35 years of age. Growing up as part of a family which owned a successful candy manufacturing company, she married shortly after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University and soon had a daughter. The marriage to Jason ended just a year before we meet her.The marriage separation was amicable, caused by Jason deciding he did not want to continue to work in the high-pressure DC law firm anymore and wanted to become a farmer in rural Maine. Such a move did not fit at all in Cameron's plans so he said his goodbyes and headed north. Now it is Cameron and her eight-year-old daughter, Julie, and the housekeeper who doubles as a nanny. Cameron is said to be a beautiful woman with long blonde hair, a warm smile, and "a sharp, analytical mind" who has found being single again quite refreshing.
Seen now as a rising star at the Bureau, Cameron is not only pleased with her career advancements, she truly loves her work and the opportunity it gives her to serve her country. When she and her people begin to uncover the extent of the dangers to America, her determination to fight it intensified considerably. Joining her after some time in that struggle with Chinese operative is Richard Weller, a veteran of a dozen years with the CIA.
