ABOUT THE SERIES

Bobby Trench is an agent with the DEA.

Michael Steadman is an officer with U.S. Naval Intelligence.

Both have been operatives for quite a while before we meet them as they meet each other; both have been undercover maintaining their false identities as low-level gun-for-hire criminals. Both are pretty darn good at their jobs though it is doubtful that each of their supervisors would sing their praises too highly. Both men are, to say the least, prone to going rogue and doing things his own way and that is never something a boss likes his man to do; when things go awry, and they usually seem to do so, it does not reflect well on the bosses and they would make sure their displeasure is felt.

These two might, however, have come up with a way to come out on top were it not for the fact that when they meet, they have no idea of the true identity of the other; both is certain the other is a perfect patsy to use to pull off one impressive operation.

Trench operating under his role as Bobby Beans, long blond haired crook. Steadman is under the alias of Mark Stigman, another real winner.

MY COMMENTS

This page dealing with two rather interesting operatives consists of two crime adventures which both stray decidedly into the spy-fi environs in two ways.

The first is that one of the two fellows is an officer with the U.S. Naval Intelligence - that pretty much guaranteed it qualified.

The second is that the first adventure dealt with stealing what turns out to be CIA money. That alone would have justified being here. Toss in the next adventure dealing with Russians selling arms to American anti-government militia and you have another no-brainer.

Plus while the two graphic novel adventures are just so darned good, well, the movie taken from the first tale stars Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington. I mean, I enjoy the heck out of anything Wahlberg is in and as well Washington, well, c'mon! It's Denzel!! Never pass up an opportunity to idolize that man, ever!

The comicbook mini-series turned graphic novels are excellent and the movie is a major hoot.
