Whiskey Cavalier is a group of agents in American Intelligence.
Okay, that is sort of true.
Whiskey Cavalier itself is the codename for an FBI agent who is one of the two official leaders of the group which the producers of the recorded adventures of said group chose to publicize it using his codename. They could have just as likely used the codename of the other teamleader, a CIA operative known as Fiery Tribune.
The 'WC' initials in Whiskey Cavalier match the FBI agent's name of Will Chase.
The "FT' initials in Fiery Tribune equally match the CIA agent's name of Francesca 'Frankie' Trowbridge.
When these two first get thrown together, they do not know each other and once met decide almost instantly that they do not care to know each other, let alone work together and cooperate. Chase says of Trowbridge's organization: "CIA - cowboys who run around like Rambo without a jockstrap". Trowbridge responds in kind with: "FBI - bunch of button-down boy scouts." Both are quite pithy in their own way.
After the wild and somewhat crazy case that they each found their way into, someone high up in the American Intelligence community (not sure who) came up with the idea that these two should be joined by someone else from their organizations as well as a newcomer to both sides to form a new group.
Their Handler: "We've assembled all of America's best intelligence assets under one banner."
Chase: "we are all officially working together ..."
Trowbridge: "... as a team ..."
Both: "... led by me."
That shows how both WC and FT wants to be the sole leader and neither will be.
Oh, back to those snarky but accurate comments about the other's organization, these two agents seem to be the poster child. Chase is as straight laced as one can get, wanting to always follow the rules and do things by the book. Trowbridge believes there are no rules and the book should be left on the shelf gathering dust.
The three other teammates are:
Susan Sampson - good friend of Chase and a very skilled FBI profiler.
Jai Datta - close ally of Trowbridge who is never adverse to blowing something up.
Edgar Standish - a notorious computer hacker who was forced to work for the NSA and now finds himself out in the field (where he does not want to be) working on dangerous missions (which he does not want to do).
Good Lines:
- Said by Chase to Trowbridge, "My charm is like a virus. It is. It's a charm virus and before you know it, boom!, you're infected". To which she points out, "So you're going to give me a virus."
