Full Name: Lara Edmond and Uri Levin
Nationality: American,Israeli
Organization: FBI
Occupation Agent

Creator: Jack Winnick
Time Span: 2010 - 2020

Lara Edmond is an agent with the FBI.

Uri Levin is an agent with Mossad.

At 41 years of age, Uri Levin is painfully aware (literally and figuratively) that he "is too old for the kind of field work he routinely does as part of the Metsada, the Special Operations arm of Mossad." He has been a squad leader in the ultra-secret Kidon, "responsible for carrying out captures and assassinations in the neighboring Arab countries", and was seriously considering stepping down when a mission to Lebanon to take out an old acquaintance and current terrorist leader went sideways and four of his teammates lost their lives. The intel they did retrieve with the raid would prompt his temporary transfer to the States and his new partnership with Edmond.

Levin is described as being handsome with his face and arms deeply bronzed with "large hands and surprisingly thick forearms richly covered in hair. The hair on his head was black, curly and thinning in front. He reminded [people] of a young James Caan".

At 31 years old, Lara Edmond, an analyst for the FBI, was getting more frustrated with her current situation - mainly her chauvinistic, condescending supervisor. She had some time back gone through the anti-terrorist training program and was certified to do field work but it had been felt that her attractiveness would prove troublesome - she "would stand out like the proverbial sore thumb" - so she went into the analysis side of the fight and found she relished it and was very good at it. She was exceptional at decoding and she was a whiz with computers. It was she and her group who uncovered intel which would tie in with the data Levin's raid.

She is described as being very attractive with a petite, trim, and athletic body, having blonde hair and blue eyes, the latter being especially intense.

When the analysis of both sets of intel reveals a major terrorist act on an American city in just a couple of days, the powers that be decided it was vital for the two to head up a task force to prevent the catastrophe.

That will not be the last time the two will work together.

It is important to remember that while I have taken the liberty of 'naming' this series 'Lara & Uri', neither the author nor the publisher has used that designation for the near half-dozen books in this series.

Now, the series is definitely about the two of them since they have near equal standing in each of the 5 adventures. I just do not know if the author felt the series really belonged to one or the other instead of both as an unofficial partnership. They are ad-hoc partners, put together by fate and learning to rely on each other but in each of the adventures, they start out on their own
