American author Lisa Cach graduated from Mount Holyoke with a B.A. in English Literature. According to her website, she moved back to Oregon and tried to make a living as a writer but did not do so well. She spent a year in Japan teaching then came back and got a Masters in Counseling Psychology. After a while she gave writing another try and kept at until one of her books caught and was published.
