This is a pseudonym for Richard Jessup. This gentleman was a former Merchant Marine for over a decade. In addition to the spy books he wrote, he wrote Westerns and detective stories. Most notable, though, was the book about poker that he wrote called The Cincinnati Kid which became a popular movie starring Steve McQueen and Edward G. Robinson.
