He is a proud father and grandfather. Hal has appeared on television as a member of a Blues Brothers singing act, and has enjoyed many fishing, hunting, and scuba diving adventures worldwide. His travels have taken him to many interesting places, including Spain and Cuba, which have helped in the writing of his mystery novels, including the Harold Gatewood mystery series, set in those countries."
