According to the bio in one of his books: "T.C. formulated the plot for his debut novel, BlackStar Bomber, while stationed at Mather Air Force Base, California. His love of hiking and camping along the California coast provided the background for his second book, Black Star Bay. Six years of living in Colorado inspired Black Star Mountain and BlackStar Enigma. His lifelong study of Hakkoryu Jujitsu added elements to all his books.
