J. A. SCHROCK

According to the bio in one of his books: "J.A. retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after serving twenty-nine years, first active and then Air National Guard. He deployed five times to the Middle East, and twice stateside. He is the recipient of numerous medals, including Meritorious Service, Global War on Terrorism, Air Reserve Meritorious Service, National Defense Service Medals, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/Silver Hourglass … 3-M Devices. He also received the Indiana Overseas Ribbon and the Indiana OCONUS Ribbons.

Schrock also retired from the Goshen Indiana Police Department after serving his community for over thirty-five years. Additional duties included being the SCUBA Rescue and Recovery Team Supervisor, Honor Guard Instructor Team, and the M-14 Patrol Rifle team. He received the Law Enforcement Medal of Honor, Combat Cross, and Outstanding Unit Awards.

Schrock is a Goshen Police Department Reserve Officer, including serving on the Honor Guard. He also is a member of the Elkhart County Dive Team."
