Born in Boston and living for many years in Manhattan, Donald Moffitt work for much of his adult life as a public relations executive but wrote prolifically as he did so. He penned a large number of short stories in the 50s and 60s in a variety of genres but largely in men's adventures. He eventually switched to science fiction where he is now better known.
