According to the bio in a collection of stories: "Marie Beaud is a short story writer and poet. She has been a teacher for twenty years in the Metro New Orleans area. A “Book Nerd” who never wants to recover, she believes that being well read makes people better writers. Her poetry has been published in The Voice’s Project, Ellipsis: a Journal of Art, Ideas, and Literature, and Violet Windows under the pen name Marie Beau. Her short story, The Black Hand, is published in the short story collection: Mata Hari: Agent H21 - The Eye of Dawn. Currently, she lives close to the river she loves and may be found sitting somewhere along the river walk or sea wall sketching and journaling at any hour.
