Writing as: Dick Wolf

Born and raised In New York, Dick Wolf was an advertising copywriter as he practiced the art of writing screenplays. With a newbie Oliver Stone, he went to California and tried his hand at movie screenplays, succeeding after several years. He then turned to television writing and worked on Hill Street Blues, among others. After a while, he moved into producing while still writing. He made his biggest success with his Law and Order set of series.
