DONALD P. BELLISARIO

A highly successful and entertaining American television producer and screenwriter and creator, Mr. Bellisario has been the voice behind some of the most popular and exciting action dramas on the small screen for three decades. The hugely watched Magnum, P.I. came from his mind as did JAG, Quantum Leap, and NCIS. Born in a Pennsylvania coal town, he served in the U.S. Marines for four years before getting a degree in journalism from Penn State. He worked as an advertising copywriter for several years and then worked his way up the corporate ladder to become creative director at an ad agency. In the mid 70's, he decided to try his hand at television writing and moved to the West Coast.
