WILLIAM GOLDMAN

Writing as: William Goldman


Born in Illinois, William Goldman earned a Masters degree from Columbia in 1956. He was finding success as a novelist and a playwright, with 5 novels and 3 Broadway plays, before he went to Hollywood to really increase his success.

He has won two Academy Awards, one for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and the other for the screenplay of All the President's Men.
