Biggles is visited by the nephew of his old nemesis, Erich von Stalhein, and told that von Stalhein is being held prisoner on the island of Sakhalin off Siberia. Furthermore, Biggles is warned that the same people holding him are also angry with Biggles and have sent an assassin after him.
