The question of who has been using tiny synthetic moles on couriers has perplexed the Deuxieme Bureau, especially after the third incident. The fact that it was related to a plot by a traitor to disrupt the food lines to the French troops made solving the matter of prime importance. While the plan to launch a great number of operatives along the border to try to catch the man was started, Fox Elton had a more direct approach - parachute into the arms of the enemy.
