The Caliban Program

A prequel to Into Darkness, this tells of how Al Qaeda is holding a CIA operative in Pakistan and the Agency wants him free. To get that, they need the help of Lt. Eric Ritter because he is familiar with the lead kidnapper. Ritter agrees to help not knowing that the CIA consider him very expendable. And then there is the fact that Ritter is not a trained agent prepared for the duplicity that is to come.
