This tells a retconned (but very enjoyable) version of the lives of Natasha Romanofff (Black Widow) and Yelena Belova (Black Widow II). In this version the two young girls are raised by the Russian version of the Super Soldier and the original Black Widow while posing as a family in Ohio. Then the two girls are taken as teenagers to the Red Room for training to as operatives.
