In a "lonely forest preservation outpost several hundred miles north of the U.S. border" a "mask-faced man of indeterminate nationality" (Ha! definitely German!) learns of the failure of his man, named Grupp, in the previous adventure. Grupp, the one-eared menace, receives new orders. His first step is to sneak into Myra North's hotel room and kidnap her. We learn that Grupp is part of "The Secret Alliance, North American" branch. We also discover, as does North after pretending to turn to their side, that a huge invasion is being planned along the Northwest border with Canada!
