Another mission is sent to Myra North and Jack Lane from the High Council of the hidden civilization north of Greenland. This one takes them to the U.S. and a ghost town called Gringo near the Gulf of Mexico where they will find a dangerous man called the Falcon "due to a weird custom of concealing his features with a hood". They are told "this sinister personage is engaged in an amazing scheme to rob your country of its natural resources, discovery of which would inevitably lead to war. He must be stopped!"
