Saying goodbye to the friends they had made with the people at the top of the world, Myra North and Jack Lane prepare to leave while Lew Wen realizes it is safer for him to stay for a while. The leader there tells North and Lane about a threat to the 'outside world' he has learned of. "[On] a tiny, secluded island in the South China Sea. On tis island a ruthless scientist creates a monstrous new device for destroying human life. He will sell same to the highest bidding power". North and Lane, with the help of Dr. Wu, head to that locale to do what they can to stop the danger.
