After congratulating Myra North on her capture of the gang in the previous adventure, Police Commissioner Johnson asks her to help out in another case. This one deals with Willie Steen, "killer and counterfeiter who dodged sentence on a plea of insanity". She is to go undercover at the sanitarium to find proof of what he is up to and Jack Lane will be her liaison.
