Myra North is a bit surprised by the request of Inspector Henley to accompany him to meet the star of a London stage play, a beautiful French woman named Mina D'Arle, whose life has been threatened. The lady has a problem with an ex-husband, a cad and gambler named Gus Sterner. There are other suspects besides Sterner so North, who volunteers to help, has her work cut out for her. The weapon used to try to kill her is a new invention called the "Blue Death".
