Myra North is in Cairo, Egypt, when she is summoned to the hospital to help care for a young boy, age around 12, who was found injured on the steps of the dispensary. He cannot recall who he is and no one else seems to know. Then Myra finds a note warning her that his identity "is no concern of yours - BE WARNED". She calls him 'Curly' due to his hair. He is really Prince Adrian of the Balkan country of Angura. The military attaché to the legation to Egypt is not a nice man.
