Johnny Hazard accompanies the lovely Samantha to the reading of the will of her Uncle Harry Clay, ome of the greatest music hall variety stars in the British Empire. Over the years on the road he had earned several million pounds but his will indicates he left only a couple hundred to her and her greedy Cousin Bertie. Samantha, his beloved niece, got his old house and all its contents. Bertie, much in debt to his bookie and looking forward to a sizeable bequeath, is not satisfied with the results and is certain there is hidden wealth to be found. When he hears about the ring of keys, he knows he is onto something.
