Johnny Hazard and Side-Pocket Sam are sitting out a tropical storm at the latter's sea-shore "Cafe Gourmet". An airliner with a faulty starboard engine makes an emergency landing at the restaurant's airstrip. Onboard is a frantic woman named Lynn Forrest who is desperate to get to Alicante to warn her brother he is about to be murdered! Her brother was on the run from the New York mob living on a plantation in South America and his location was recently discovered so they are sending a killer.
