From Smash Comics #33 - Taking place right after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Black X is sent to the West Coast on a secret mission. His last stopover is where he is board the latest in bombers. Unknown to everyone, though, it has been commandeered by Japanese agents. Black X and kidnapped crew are able to turn the tables on them.
