Stopping at a cafe while visiting a city in India, Dick Storm is approached to go into the jungles to find an American woman, daughter of a missionary, who could be ransomed for a tidy sum. Storm is ready to fight over the idea before deciding that if he did not save her, someone else would snatch her for the ransom. He will unfortunately have to deal with Chinese pirates, Indian cutthroats, lethal fever, ?African cannibals? and a cowardly white man who insists he is her boy friend but she does not agree.
