At a chess meet behind the Iron Curtain, going up against Count Ivan Ulianov, an old friend of Uncle Pete, Fireball wins the match easily. When the Count sudden is escorted away, Fireball finds a hidden message asking help. It is a ploy by the country's Secret Service to demand Fireball's help in stealing the secret guidance system from the latest British war missile system.
