While taking part in a road race in Austria just before the start of WWII, Peter Flint see a fellow Brit racer go out of control and crash. Lending assistance, he sees the driver had been shot. In his dying breath, the victim hands Flint a badge and asks him to deliver it to General Ferguss. He warns Flint that others would be out to stop him. After eluding patrols and surviving attempts on his life, not to mention stealing a plane, Flint succeeds.
