From Fight Comics #29, December, 1943
Recently transferred to the X Bureau, Hooks Devlin is still getting used to being back in civvies when he bumps into Peaches on the street. She is on the way to interview an old eccentric professor who has just created what he calls Z-rays. Devlin decides to join her and ends up being kidnapped along with the inventor.
