A conflict between Soviet and Chinese communists comes to Maxine Dangerfield's attention when she goes in on the hunt for a man named John Baron who disappears after leaving a fancy party. Another man, checking up on him, is killed. It is soon after that Dangerfield learns the man hosting the gathering is a whole lot involved in everything.
