A Private Eye named Venning is hired by a quite rich Sir James to find his missing son, Brian. On the hunt, Venning is pleased to have as help Maxine Dangerfield who agrees that the disappearance is related to the Quorom Club, supposedly a social club but really a meeting place for revolutionaries.
