A missing British archaeologist is found in the desert of Egypt, dying soon after. His body is itself a mystery for he seems well on his way to being mummified. After his body is sent to London for study, those back in Cairo fall ill. That is the start of an adventure that will bring in assassins willing to kill anyone to keep a secret.
