#17 in the Lawson Vampire series.
Talya has been kidnapped by Xiang, a Chinese Fixer who works for the communist government. The goal is to lure Lawson to the Far East to eliminate him but Lawson has other plans. He enlists the aid of Jack, an Invoker, to rescue Talya in a mission that the Council does not authorize.
