Dawn, the niece (and adopted daughter) of a Senator who is his party's candidate for President, has been kidnapped in a home break-in. While the Senator is determined to let the FBI handle the case, his wife wants more. She hires Stone to find and rescue her. Stone has no use whatsoever for kids. That was his first reason for taking the mission. Learning the kidnappers are old associates and now enemies is the second reason. Reluctantly getting to know the 5-year-old girl will give him a third, and biggest, reason.
