While cruising down life’s pathways, most people eventually reach a point where they can do what they want to do, rather than what they have to do. The tyranny of serving too many masters in the business world can turn you into a master’s slave or another slave’s master. I choose to serve no one and rule no one. From my perspective, that is the only true freedom.

I spent 20+ years traveling around the world and have experienced more things that most people get no closer to than the words in a book or a travel documentary. The love of good adventure books enhanced my experiences and I think gave me a broader view of the world and the various problems that make life both challenging and interesting.

My journey has had successes, hard hits and near misses, just like everyone else. But what you become as a result can either be a matter of serendipity or proactive choice. If you want to do great things, you have to dream of great things and transform your dreams into actions."
