According to a bio on Lambiek Comicpedia: "Lochlan Field attended the Pratt Insitute, and did commercial art for Paper Specialty House in New York. He worked in comic books through Funnies Inc. between 1939 and 1942. For Centaur, he illustrated features like 'Inner Circle' and 'Spy Hunters', and for Novelty, he did 'Rip Rory'. He left comics to pursue a military career. He was a teacher at an art school in Vermont from the early 1960s through the mid-1970s."
