In September of 1944, Germans were being pushed back out of Belgium and soon out of Holland. Helping on an air attack on hidden German forces, John Steel is shot down. He get needed assistance from a Dutch farm couple and makes it back to England. Then he learns the couple have been arrested by the Germans for their efforts and he knows he owes them a huge debt which he is determined to repay.
