Rex Dalton and his dog Digger have traveled to Peru and are enjoying the breathtaking landscape. Dalton meets an elderly American couple and takes them up on their invitation to join an archaeological expedition into the Andes Mountains. It does not take long before Dalton is certain the couple are being conned and the con men do not want Dalton to live to mess it up.
