The heavy storm had brought a lot of debris to his doorstep but it was the large amount of dead fish that concerned Mac Travis and made him investigate what could have killed so many. This leads to a testing site in Florida Bay and a murder and eventually a plan that could destroy the Everglades all in the name of Big Sugar.
