Though the chip in his brain that caused trouble before was removed, it is inexplicably still there and still making a mess. Richard Blade had retired and others sent into Dimension X in his place. All either died or had major mental problems afterwards. Blade is called out of retirement for another mission and he is more than ready because back on Earth, he is frustratingly impotent, a very new experience for Blade.
